(e) Each license issued pursuant to this section expires one year from the date of its issuance but may be successively renewed upon the filing and approval of an application for renewal, except as otherwise provided in this article. (b) The commission shall then determine the total number of authorizations to have video lottery terminals reserved under subsection (a) of this section and subtract that number from the total number of video lottery terminals authorized for the state in section 22B-1101 of this part.
