It was still able to cleave most of the way through the box it came in and it cut through a water bottle with no issue. It has a good weight to it too. It's a nice sword it needs a second nail to hold the leather at the bottom of the handle butt other than that it's a bada$$ sword. A great buy I will play with, get workout out of, and admire on display. The only thing is the workmanship on this sword could be better. they are beautiful. It's a massive piece of metal that has a great look and feel. Also, the leather grip is a little bit loose, but its not a huge problem. It's heavy, sharp, and the metal on the blade is neither too thin nor is it too thick. The handle is big enough to get another hand on it to assist, if needed, in a big swing. a steal for 40 bucks. It is unusable with the hilt so wobbly and loose. The weight alone makes it a must buy as one swing could easily disarm an opponent (literally as well). Handy Christmas presents as well. The handle and tang are where I've found issue though. I suggest when you get this,unscrew the pommel and put a washer between the handle and the pommel,it'll keep you from cracking the handle like I did when I had to tighten the pommel.
